Innovation & Entrepreneurship: Research Translation to the Market is a 14-week, 3-credit course that introduces PhD students to entrepreneurship and the translation of innovations from the research lab to the market. Interdisciplinary teams of PhD students will evaluate the market potential of Lehigh technologies by conducting customer discovery and business model analysis – advising on pathways to commercialization and startup ventures. The course will help you develop your entrepreneurial mindset and skills and lay a foundation that prepares you to pursue a variety of entrepreneurial career pathways upon graduation, whether you launch a company, join existing startups or established corporations, or pursue a career in academia. Taught by an industry professional and startup veteran, the course meets weekly August 28 - December 1, 2023 via Zoom (the first and last class session will meet in person on campus). Open to doctoral students across all disciplines.
